- Awarded a Design Build project from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in Boone Co as part of a Tri-Venture with John R. Jurgensen Co. and Eaton Asphalt Paving. The project included the reconstruction of Richwood and Mt Zion Roads and includes a Railroad Bridge for Norfolk Southern Railway, a bridge on US 25 over Richwood Road, numerous MSE walls and 2 noise barrier walls on I-75

Project Overview & Updates
This Design-Build project included rehabilitation of 2 interchanges on I-75, construction of a new SPUI Interchange on US25, construction of a new 3 Track RR Bridge to replace an at grade crossing with Norfolk Southern RR, 3 new Roundabouts and nearly 1 mile of Sound Barrier Wall.

Richwood – See the picture above for the completed interchange of Richwood Rd and US 25 located in Walton, KY. Haydon Bridge Company constructed the retaining walls along with the Railroad bridge and three span bridge over Richwood Rd.
MAY 2023
Crews continue to stay busy on our Richwood project! As you can see from the picture one crew is forming a 325’ long cast in place retaining wall while the other is slip forming barrier wall on a moment slab above an MSE Retaining Wall.
APRIL 2023
Our crews in Northern KY wasted no time getting this three span bridge with straddle bents formed, poured, and wrecked. See pictures showing construction and after falsework was removed.
MARCH 2023
Pouring the diaphragm between deck spans 1 & 2. One crane was staged on the West side of US 25 and the other was staged on the East side, both were picking 2cy concrete buckets from the concrete truck staging areas and swinging to the deck to complete the pour efficiently and safely. As usual the communication between the crew and operators made the pour go as expected. Shout out to Foreman Bobby Douglas in the video using crane hand signals to direct the concrete bucket to its desired location.
DECEMBER 2022
As part of the Richwood, KY interchange reconfiguration, Haydon Bridge has built numerous MSE walls, gravity walls, a railroad bridge and this roadway bridge. This video shows us setting the first beams of the roadway bridge. A 283’ long bridge supported by post-tensioned pier caps as part of a new SPUI Interchange.

Lots of lifting going on at our US25 Bridge in Walton, KY! Our team has done an excellent job setting this site up so that multiple tasks can be performed safely and simultaneously to meet the project schedule. Haydon Bridge employees take pride in planning our work and working our plan.

A Haydon Bridge Manitowoc M-250 erecting 190,000 LBS of Structural Steel as a single crane on a RR Bridge in Walton KY.
JULY 2023
Shoutout to 720 Pumping out of Dayton Ohio for helping us backfill a retaining wall on our Richwood project with one of their Telebelts. With this wall located parallel to the Railroad we had to get creative while still keeping up production.
