Project Overview & Updates
This project is an emergency deck replacement for the KY 15 Bridge over Carr Creek Lake. Project bid at the end of May 2023 and scheduled to be completed by the end of November the same year, all while maintaining a single lane of traffic on the structure.
JANUARY 2024
Knott County – To celebrate the completion of the Knott County project Haydon Bridge Company held a lunch and debrief for everyone that helped make this project a success. During this time the team discussed the different construction processes utilized for this project and which ones were effective, along with processes that could be changed in the future. We would like to commend everyone in the photo for their hard work and dedication. Thank You!!

Knott County Recap – See a video recap from our Knott County project. This was a phased emergency superstructure replacement of a 630’ long bridge over Carr Creek Lake. Construction began on the project June 6, 2023 with a strict completion date of November 30, 2023. Haydon Bridge crews worked long days and many weekends to get this bridge opened to two lanes of traffic three days before the deadline! We would like to give a big thanks to all of our crew members & subcontractors who made this a successful project!!!

Knott County Deck Pour –Superintendents Mike Keeton & Keith Cash as well as Working Foreman Derek Hamilton have taken their teams and completed the bridge deck on the Bridge over Carr Creek Lake in Knott Co., KY. They have worked many long days and several nights, including these late October deck pours, to get this emergency project to this point. We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our team members on this project.
SEPTEMBER 2023
Quick update on the Knott County project over Carr Creek Lake. Phase 1 deck demolition has been completed and crews are hard at work forming the overhang and installing rebar to be ready for the first deck pour.
AUGUST 2023
Demo Day!! Crews are hard at work removing phase 1 of the superstructure on Ky 15 Over Carr Fork Lake.
JULY 2023
Haydon Bridge was recently awarded an Emergency Bridge rehabilitation project in Knott County, Over Carr Fork Lake. Our crew is working diligently to remove one of the existing Lanes and will replace it with a brand new deck and barrier before we switch traffic and move to phase 2.
