- Completed date: Haydon Bridge Completion Date (June 7th, 2024) – The Project is still underway with the Prime Contractor, Hi-View, LLC, continues working toward the completion, by early 2025.
- Project Objective: This project was up for bid to continue and expand on the previous Mountain Parkway Expansion Projects.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Six Culverts Constructed:

- 4 each of 4’x6’ Box Culverts Ranging in length from 712’ to 1269ft long – November 2019 to December 2020
- 1 each of 16’x8’ Double Barrel Culvert, 540ft long and over 5,600CY of Concrete – October 2021 to June 2022
- 1 each of 8’x6’ Box Culvert 150ft long – November 2023 to December 2023
Three Bridges Constructed:

- Twin Bridges over Cutino Road 243ft long (4 Span Bridge) – For Cutino Road Eastbound: Substructure began August 2021 and Superstructure Completed September 2022. For the Cutino Road Westbound: March 2023 to August2023
- Twin Bridges Over Johnson Creek 383ft long (4 Span Bridge) – January 2021 to July 2022
- Twin Bridges Over Cow Creek Rd. 155ft long (3 Span Bridge) – Substructure began January 2023 Completed June 2024
Project Overview & Updates
Haydon bridge completed our work on the Magoffin County project in June of this year. The last structure completed was a set of twin bridges over Cow Creek Road. As you can see from the video Hinkle contracting has moved in and began working on the bridge approached by placing stone and installing asphalt at the new Interchange.

Cow Creek GoPro Deck Pour – Here is a quick GoPro view at the Mountain Parkway over Cow Creek deck pour. Crews were working hard to make this yet another successful pour on the parkway.

Cow Creek Deck Pour – Another deck pour completed on the Mountain Parkway! Haydon crews worked diligently to complete this pour over Cow Creek Road. Big shout out to Wells Group and Concrete Pump Partners for helping us out to get this completed!!
APRIL 2024
2491 Bridge Mountain Parkway – A lot of hard work and rebar installation going on at the 2491 Bridge located on the Mountain Parkway! We would like to give a big shout out to one of our subcontractors Bar-Tie for wasting no time in getting this reinforcement installed at this location while Haydon Bridge employees finish buckling up the diaphragms and install the armored edges.

2491 Deck Pour – Take a look at both of our Mountain Parkway crews coming together to pour the second bridge deck in Wolfe County. Deck pours are always a group effort, and we appreciate all the hard work everyone put it on this day to make it a success!

Cow Creek Span 2 Beams – Narrative: Take a look at this beam setting along the Mountain Parkway Project, as we rotate the beams 180 degree to set them in their final positions on the pier caps. Beam setting takes multiple people all working in unison to have a safe and productive day. The Magoffin crew did and excellent job in completing the task.

Wheel Rim Road Project – Narrative: Looking back at a set of twin bridges located on the Mountain Parkway over Wheelrim Road. Haydon Bridge Company was awarded their first contract on the Mountain Parkway in 2016 and has been included on an additional 2 other projects since then. Under these three contracts Haydon Bridge has been awarded 30 bridges & 20 reinforced box culverts all along the Mountain Parkway corridor.
JANUARY 2024
Project name: Pile Driving with the RT – Mountain Parkway Update! This Parkway crew has been Driving Piling at the next Bridge Over Baptist Road in Wolfe County. This end of the Bridge was pre-drilled 11ft into rock and as you see in the video, we are setting the Steel Piling into solid rock.

Look at the company’s most recent deck pour! With the help of a couple of our crews coming together we completed another bridge deck along the Mountain Parkway.
JUNE 2023
Look at the crew in Magoffin as we set beams at our Cutino Road Bridge. These beams weighed 19 Tons, and were set using two Crawler Cranes. Our Crew did an excellent job with safely setting these beams!

Here is a few pictures that show what our Magoffin Crew has been up too!! We have been busy forming Pier Caps for the next bridge on the Mountain Parkway in Magoffin County. This Bridge Crosses Cutino Road and is one of several bridges being constructed as part of the Mountain Parkway Expansion.
