1812 Beam Setting – Summer is in full swing, and the crews are “Burning” through the next bridge along what will be the newly constructed Eastbound lanes of The Mountain Parkway in Wolfe Co. Take a look at the most recent Beam setting as we utilize a Manitowoc 777 crane to set these beams above KY 1812. We would like to give a special thanks to the crew and Prestress Services for a job well done!!

Wolfe County Soldier Pile Wall – Wolfe County Update! The crew along the Mountain Parkway has installed a soldier pile wall for temporary shoring to retain the existing Mountain Parkway while excavating and removing a portion of an existing double barrel box culvert. Once the portion is removed, the plan for the project is a 170 linear foot extension extending under the new Eastbound Lanes of the Mountain Parkway.

DECEMBER 2023

Wolfe Co. Culvert – Here you can see our progress on the DBL. 10’x6’ RCBC Extension on the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe Co. We had just finished up a pour on the top slab with one more pour to go. The field crew has done an excellent job at sequencing the concrete pours to minimize any potential down time associated with the compressive strength testing of the concrete. Also, props to the field for good housekeeping and having an organized site, which is imperative to good work flow and safety.

Wolfe County Deck Pour – Take a look at the first deck pour on our Wolfe County Project.  This deck pour took a group effort and the two Mountain Parkway crews did an exceptional job in completing this task. Our crews did a great job in preparing for this day down to the last detail, which made for a very smooth pour.

191 Beams Setting – Take a look at Haydon Bridge setting Beams on the first bridge on the Wolfe County Section of the Mountain Parkway. Our Crews did an excellent job handling the beams and coordinating traffic to complete the task safely!

Wolfe County – Prior to any work taking place on the bridge deck/superstructure, we always make sure proper horizontal lifelines are installed so our crews can work safely!  Pictured here is the new bridge on the eastbound Mountain Parkway over KY-191 in Wolfe County.

Here is a look at our progress in Wolfe County, we are starting the next culvert extension along the Mountain Parkway Expansion Project!  We have removed 50ft of the existing culvert and will be extending the existing 10’x6’ double barrel culvert 180ft that will be underneath the New Eastbound Lanes.
