Project name: Pile Driving with the RT
Mountain Parkway Update! This Parkway crew has been Driving Piling at the next Bridge Over Baptist Road in Wolfe County. This end of the Bridge was pre-drilled 11ft into rock and as you see in the video, we are setting the Steel Piling into solid rock.
Project Name: Swan Pond Road Slip Forming
Crews in Russell County on the US 127 project are wrapping up the bridge over Swan Pond Road. One of the final steps is slip forming the barrier wall, which is a true team effort! For this bridge, we placed and finished 673 Linear Feet of barrier wall in a single day! From here, our crew will finish patching and painting the concrete on the barrier wall and beams, which will complete this bridge!
Project Name: Yard Aerial View
If you follow us, you often see pictures and videos of our operations in the field constructing things like bridges and culverts. What you don’t see is the hard work the folks at the shop/yard put in making sure our field crews have the material and equipment they need. Whether they are fabricating parts, fixing equipment, or loading trucks, these folks are a vital part of our operation!
Project Name: Knott County
To celebrate the completion of the Knott County project Haydon Bridge Company held a lunch and debrief for everyone that helped make this project a success. During this time the team discussed the different construction processes utilized for this project and which ones were effective, along with processes that could be changed in the future. We would like to commend everyone in the photo for their hard work and dedication. Thank You!!
Project Name: Harrods Creek
Blast from the past!! Here you can see Haydon Bridge Company setting structural steel for a set of twin bridges over Harrods Creek in Prospet, KY. These bridges were a portion of the East End Crossing Project that was completed in 2016. The Structural Steel Girders for these bridges were 10’ tall with a 350’ long main span over Harrods Creek!!
Project Name: Hopkins Co. Before Construction
Narrative: Haydon Bridge Company was recently awarded a project in Hopkins Co. The project consists of three bridge replacements and the adjacent roadwork. In this short clip you can see the project site as-is before we have boots on the ground. We look forward to working with the team to have another successful project and a great start to a new year!
